![]() MacBook-Pro:~ username$ /Users/username/Desktop/FreeCAD.app/Contents/Resources/bin/freecad exit Last login: Mon Aug 7 17:36:07 on ttys001 I did get an error message in the terminal but the program opened I didn't attempt to edit any drawings at this time. HOWEVER, when I right clicked -> show package contents -> Contents/Resources/bin -> right click & open that file 'freecad' I was able to run FreeCad 0.21! Thank you. I still go the same message when I right clicked -> open. Well when the finder window appeared for me to copy to applications I instead copied that file to Desktop. It worked well when I put it on the Desktop though. That may be the reason why I never could place FreeCAD in the Applications folder. Please see the Installing on Linux page for more installation options, including daily packages for Ubuntu and derivatives. It'll run under High Sierra from the command line. Instead you can download the AppImage above, mark it as executable and launch it without installation. Most distributions carry FreeCAD in their official repositories, however, if the distribution doesn't follow a rolling release model the version they provide might be outdated. For macOS 12 and older the "Unsigned Intel disk image" should be used, the signed version does not work on those systems. ![]() MacOS 10.12 Sierra is the minimum supported version. The Chocolatey package is currently not up-to-date. The package can also be installed from the Chocolatey manager. ![]()
